Dear Members

At the moment we remain closed, but we are working closely with our trade body, ukactive and Public Health England to create guidelines to make gyms Covid-19 Secure. We are currently awaiting the approval of these, and they will then form the ‘minimum standard’ for re-opening.

According to the most recent government announcement made on Tuesday 23rd June, we must remain closed until ‘mid July’, with no firm date given. We are therefore continuing to plan for re-opening most of our facilities at some point in July, and updates will be posted here when we know more.

We are undertaking a risk assessment for each different activity, so that we can put in place precautions to protect the health of our staff, our members and other centre users. These will include significantly enhanced cleaning regimes, hand-sanitiser stations, capacity restrictions, social distancing etc. It is possible that, to start with, not all activities/classes will be available and opening days/hours may be varied.

As soon as we have more details, we will contact our members directly and post updates on this website and on social media, but please rest assured that the safety of our staff and users is our most urgent priority.
